Types of Wire Payoff Machines

The type of wire payoff can be customized based on the customer’s choice of raw materials and specific design requirements. This allows the system to accommodate different wire diameters, materials, and production needs, ensuring optimal feeding performance, consistent tension, and minimal wire damage for each application. Each pass uses die boxes equipped with diamond or PCD dies to gradually reduce the wire diameter. The machine is supported by a cooling and lubrication system to protect the wire and dies during high-speed operation, as well as a transmission system and tension control system to maintain synchronized speeds and stable drawing forces. The finished wire is collected by the take-up unit, which may be a spooler, coiler, or double-spool system. 

An elephant-trunk payoff uses a flexible, curved guiding tube resembling an elephant’s trunk to feed wire into the machine. This design ensures smooth and steady wire feeding, minimizes vibration, and prevents wire scratching or tangling.
