However, due to environmental and health regulations—such as the RoHS directive—many manufacturers have shifted towards lead-free alternatives (e.g., Sn99.3Cu0.7 or Sn96.5Ag3.0Cu0.5) in recent years.

If you’re working with traditional PV ribbon manufacturing or certain legacy systems, Sn60Pb40 may still be common, but the industry trend is moving toward lead-free alloys for better environmental compliance.
